The Coveted "Babe Ruth" Scene!

The Pride of the Yankees (RKO, 1942). Lobby Card (11" X 14"). One of the greatest baseball films ever made, this classic starred Gary Cooper as the Iron Horse himself, Lou Gehrig! The producers of the film missed a sure thing when they forgot to put Babe Ruth (who appeared in the film as himself) on the posters! But he did appear on the one lobby card which is featured here! An exceptional find !

This is the best card of the set and the only one where Babe Ruth appears. The card has a 2 inch diagonal tear in the right side from border. It has been supported with tape on the verso. There is also brown paper tape on two edges of the backside of the card. Otherwise in excellent condition and a historical lobby card with the Babe himself!
