Gorgeous Rare vintage Bogart lobby card movie poster. 

Before he was the biggest movie star in the world Humphrey Bogart would play supporting roles before his big breakthrough in the 1941 Masterpiece,  “The Maltese Falcon”.  As a matter of fact, as you will notice on this lobby card, Bogart was not even included in the credits on much of the movie advertising for the original 1937 release as he was a relative unknown.  That of course would change when this film was re-released in 1954 when they took full advantage of the now Superstar. 

This particular special Close-up  lobby card for whatever reason is more Rare then the others and has only surfaced two or three times for sale in the past 25 years.

Condition:   It is in quite amazing condition for its nearly 90 years!  Only noticeable flaw is the vintage tape stain in upper left and stain on bottom border that don’t effect the image area at all, and actually add a nice touch of age related authenticity to it.

Humphrey Bogart gave one of his best performances as gangster Baby Face Martin in William Wyler's adaptation of the Broadway play. The film also gave birth to the classic Dead End Kids, who would later go on to star in their own films as The Bowery Boys and make an appearance in Angel's with Dirty Faces with James Cagney and Bogart.   Original 1937 movie paper from this title is Highly Scarce and rarely surfaces on the market.
