Fantastic Original Ambrotype Civil War photo of Soldier with revolver in belt and Union belt buckle which is crisp and easily identifiable as a Union "US" buckle. . . Great detail of soldier's dress uniform and Union belt buckle, with just some minor grazing ane expected minor scratches for a 160 year old Ambrotype photo. . That said it is particularly nice with great contrast and clarity and bright (many or most are dark).
Here is a 1/6th plate ambrotype photo of Civil War Soldier in his uniform. The image is clear & crisp. The photo was in a box with other pictures and note in box stated J.C. Garner was in civil war uniform. Comes in a case. The case is separating from the other half at the seam. Overall measures 3 5/8" x 3 1/4"
