J&E Stevens, Cast Iron Mechanical Cabin Toy Bank, 1885
Wonderful old cast iron Cabin mechanical penny bank. Made in Cromwell, Ct. by J. & E. Stevens c.1885. . 140 Years ago!
Place penny on top front of roof, pull lever and man flips up and kicks penny into bank. The bank measures 3 5/8" tall x 2 7/8" wide x 4 1/4" deep.
Very nice operating condition. The bank is in very nice working condition with nice paint and Rarely Seen original coin trap. (see photo's) VERY NICE!! GUARANTEED OLD AND ORIGINAL with No rust, cracks or repairs. Does have a small chio off the front left corner roof tip. And most important, 90-95% of original paint remaining!

As antique bank collectors know, the primary issue with antique cast iron bank value is amount of original paint. The difference in value between 10-50% or 50-90% remaining original paint if dramatic.
