You'll never look at our "feathered friends" in quite the same way after seeing this terrifying movie by the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock. Of this ever popular thriller, starring Tippi Hedren in her film debut, Hitch himself said, "It could be the most terrifying motion picture I have ever made," and we surely wouldn't disagree with him!
For some reason the original lobby cards are quite scarce for this 1963 thriller and don't appear on the market often.
* We recently acquired SIX choice lobby cards from "The Birds". And here is one of the best of the set. In very good-excellent condition with nice bright coloes (Not faded as many of these are).
Alfred Hitchcock, recognized as the "Master of Suspense," brought all of his directorial skills to bear on this tale of unexplained events. Set in a coastal city, this story of birds turning against all of humanity remains one of his best and most recognized films. As a wonderful bonus, "Hitch" is shown on the side of the poster. By this point in his career, he was so well recognized, he was as famous as any actor in his movies and the studios added his image to help sell the film.
Alfred Hitchcock turned Daphne Du Maurier's suspense tale, originally set in Cornwall, into one of his most terrifying films. Starring Tippi Hedren, Rod Taylor, and Jessica Tandy, the story follows the townspeople, including the children, of Bodega Bay who are inexplicably attacked by flocks of birds. This set is full of the more horrifying scenes from this delightfully disturbing classic.
