Clark Gable Signed Original Army Photograph C. 1942
A unique and desirable piece for the Gable collector, offered here is an original 6.5" x 8.5" glossy black and white photograph of Clark Gable taken during his days as "Lt. Gable" when he enlisted in the Army Air Corps. A terrific pose which shows a well dressed Gable leaving the Quartermaster's Property Warehouse, Gable has signed alongside his image in blue fountain pen ink, "Clark Gable, 11/5/42." Also signing along with Gable is Andrew McIntyre, a fellow army cadet also featured with Gable. Also included with the signed photograph is a color copy of a handwritten letter that Gable wrote to Mary Ellen Harper that was originally sent with the photograph. Some light impressions along the top border and minor contrast to the signature, otherwise fine. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from world renown autograph dealer Odyssey.
